Welcome to the San Diego Chapter of the international Horror Writers Association!

THE HORROR WRITERS ASSOCIATION (HWA) is a nonprofit organization of writers and publishing professionals around the world dedicated to promoting dark literature and the interests of those who write it. HWA was formed in 1985 with the help of many of the field’s greats, including Dean Koontz, Robert McCammon, and Joe Lansdale. It is the oldest and most respected professional organization for the much-loved writers who have brought you the most enjoyable sleepless nights of your life.

crow2Our goal as a local chapter is to bring together writers, editors, and readers throughout San Diego County, to spread our love of the horror genre and support the creative minds that bring the horrors of the night to life.

The following services are available to members:

1.  Mentorship and beta reading rogram
